Pediatric Speech Therapy

At Dynamic Therapies, our pediatric speech therapy is built around individualized assessments and evidence-based treatment customized to each child's unique needs. The speech and language pathologist takes time to understand your child's strengths and areas for growth by looking at communication, including speech sounds (articulation), language development, fluency, and voice/resonance. The speech and language pathologist also considers the underlying skills that support communication such as orofacial-sensory motor functional performance , sensory processing, sustained attention, and learning readiness. After the initial evaluation, the Speech and Language Pathologist creates a measurable, goal-driven treatment plan and provide clear recommendations for next steps. When appropriate, they collaborate with your child's care team - including occupational therapy and physical therapy to support progress across environments and help skills carry over to home, school, and daily life.
The Speech and Language Pathology Department may include (but is not limited to):
  • Theme based, age appropriate sessions that keep children engaged and motivated.
  • Building learning ready skills such as attention, listening, sitting tolerance, and turn-taking.
  • Support for orofacial sensory-motor functional performance that impact speech .
  • Play based strategies that strengthen communication through movement and interaction.
  • Parent/caregiver coaching and home strategies to support carryover between visits.
  • A whole body approach that supports regulations, participation, and confidence.
  • Evidence-based techniques for articulation, language, fluency, and voice.
  • Support strategies for concerns such as drooling and oral control, when appropriate.
